How to configure a stone/sand crushing production line

1.Configure equipment based on the properties of the materials processed by the user.

Mining sand and gravel plants commonly process materials such as granite, river pebbles, limestone, and greenstone. These materials are abundant in reserves and have widespread applications. The specific combinations are as follows:

a.For high-hardness materials like granite and river pebbles, the “jaw crusher + cone crusher” combination can be used. The jaw crusher can process most types of ore in the mining industry, while the cone crusher has a natural advantage in processing extremely hard materials, achieving excellent results when crushing high-hardness materials;  

b.For medium-hardness materials like bluestone, marble, and shale, the “jaw crusher + impact crusher” combination can be used. The impact crusher is highly effective for processing materials of moderate hardness and produces excellent finished particle shapes;

c.For materials like gypsum, limestone, and chalk, the “heavy hammer crusher” can be used directly for processing. These materials have low hardness and good forming properties, and the “hammer crusher” can achieve one-step crushing and forming.

2.Determine the equipment type and model based on the user’s site and scale.

For different users, site size and scale are also key factors in determining the solution. If the user’s factory area is large enough, a suitable fixed crushing production line can be configured, which makes the crushing process clearer and more scientific.

If the user’s factory area is small or limited, a mobile crushing station can be used to move the factory area with the location of the factory, reducing material transportation costs and improving the flexibility of factory operations.

3.Determine the equipment model based on the user’s budget cost.

Many users who are familiar with the equipment will first ask about the price. Relatively speaking, cone crushers with the same production capacity are much more expensive than impact crushers, resulting in a significant difference in initial investment costs. However, cone crushers have fewer wear parts and much lower operating costs. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, so the equipment should be configured according to the user’s budget cost.
